QUALIFICATIONS

The following table is general carrier info. Pay attention to the qualifications listed in red at the top of the job info page for that job’s specific qualifications/requirements

Pre-Qualifications
Minimum Age At least 21 years old
Minimum Experience (tractor Trailer/OTR) EXPERIENCED
3 months current verifiable OTR experience in a TT in the past year AND completed an accredited school carrier training program (must have proof)
OR
1 year verifiable OTR experience in a TT in the past 3 years.
Experience can be a combination OTR/Regional/Local.
OR
6 months verifiable local experience or a combination of OTR/Regional/Local in the past year AND at any time  completed an accredited school (must have proof) or a carrier approved training program  

* Must have graduated an accredited school, attended a company approved carrier training program or as of Feb 7,2022 received an EDLT certificate of training in accordance with 49 CFR 380.503 and the facility be on the Training Provider Registry (TPR)

* Experience MUST have been in a Class A tractor, towing a 40′ trailer(s) or longer.

* Jobs must have also required a Class A CDL

* Must currently live in hiring area.

* If a drivers address / state does not match their license they will have to change that before onboarding.  

MILITARY SERVICE: Must provide a copy of DD214 or service within the last 3 years (from date of application)

Active military reservist date of service must be verified same as normal employment

Non active reservist must provide an NGB Form 22 showing dates of service if service was within the last 3 years from date of application

If DD214 not available, provide a copy of the separation document with separation status
Moving Violations (max in 3 year period) Seat belt violations count as moving violations.
Accidents All accidents. Non-preventable accidents listed by an employer or PSP will not need review unless it is a fatality.

Any accident with a citation in the previous 5 years is subject to Safety review.

All preventable accidents within the last 3 years and all fatality accidents are subject to Safety Review.

PLEASE NOTE An applicant with more than 5 points total, within the last 3 years, is not eligible for hire.

The conviction date, not the violation date, is used when determining the points within the 3 year period.

Moving Violations MVR requirements are based on our point system

Major Moving Violations- that are automatic DQ’s Passing a school bus

Policy Against Unemployment- even if it is accounted for 12 months within the previous 36 months
Any applicant totaling 12 months unemployment in the past 36 months must have been employed as a Class A driver within last 6 months immediately prior to applying.
Policy on Terminations Will review Need 6 months of safe Driving after a termination for safety
Felony Convictions – How old must they be?
Based off the conviction date? What are the “silver bullets”?
No drug/possession charges in the last 5 years

All other felony convictions must be reviewed by Safety or the Compliance Manager.

DOT Physical Requirements Met Express will allow a driver with a 2-year medical card that has at least 6 months remaining before expiration to use this physical for hire. The information will also need to be verified through their MVR details.

The driver must send the medical card and long-form to drugtest@pamt.com for review.

Make sure drivers understand they are to send the med cards to medical and not to you.
