You’ll be running International LT’s, Long-Haul Tractors with automatic transmissions and an average age of no older than 2.5 years. Most drivers have a fridge, microwave and even a cook top in the trucks.
There are no Inverters, Electric APU has power strips. Inverters provided by drivers must be installed by the shop for $35. Some of the newer trucks have solar panels which charge the APU.
The truck high speed will depend on the MPG’s of that mornings report. Depending on how high the MPG’s are, the truck will adjust to the speed of 65mph – 72mph.
Base Speed = 65 MPH
8.50 MPG = 67 MPH
9 MPG = 68 MPH
9.5 MPG = 69 MPH
10 MPG = 72
Trucks are permanently assigned as long as you take no more than 2 days home time. Misuse of home time can result in loss of assigned truck. All regional routes will require trucks to be parked in the yard for off time. The only division that trucks might go home is Division 010 and that’s only when the driver isn’t close to a terminal or yard.
Cameras in truck are front and driver facing but event only.
Riders are allowed from day one, must be over 12 years of age and will cost $15/month or $150/year. Pets, both cats and dogs, are allowed with no weight limit. There will be a non-refundable fee of $500, payable in 5 payments of $100. Multiple pets will be approved on a case by case basis (Fee is increased per pet, ex. 2 pets would be $1,000, 5 payments of $200).

ORIENTATION INFO (MVTORT)
Orientation will be 2 days long Tuesday/Wednesday or Thursday/Friday and held in El Paso, TX; Nashville, TN or Laredo, TX. Lodging will be provided at the Super 8 in El Paso, the Comfort Inn in Nashville and the Family Garden Inn in Laredo. All double occupancy unless you want to request a single room and pay half the room fee up front.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided, dinner is on you. Travel will be by bus or by plane if bus travel is too long. MVT does not offer rental cars but will reimburse up to the cost of a bus ticket (paid out on the first paycheck).
You’ll be paid $500 Quick Hire Pay as long as you join within 2 weeks of being approved for orientation and you show on the original confirmed orientation date.
