JB HUNT APPLICATION

Application Process

BREAKDOWN OF THE JB HUNT APPLICATION PROCESS

You will fill out the intelli-app on the phone with the driver. Within about an hour of the app submission, a member of the IMC Admin Team will review their information and if the app passes inspection they will send a copy of the intelli-app to your driver along with a request for them to call in to a special IMC Professional Driver Services phone extension where they will be connected to a JB Hunt scheduler.

The JB Hunt representative will then collect the necessary application information for their records. The driver is encouraged to use the intelli-app we sent them as a reference so that they don’t have to try and recall all that information again from memory. From there the driver MUST keep in contact with JB Hunt every 48 hours or they will be removed from the schedule/call list.

Additionally, JB Hunt requires:

  • 10 years of employment history (full 10 year history whether it’s work, school or unemployment)
  • Home address history for the past 3 years
  • Current driver license number and driver license history for the past 3 years
  • History of traffic accidents, violations and/or convictions from the last 5 years (including DUI or reckless driving conviction and license suspension)
  • Any military history
  • Emergency contact info (name, address, phone#, relationship)

MAKE SURE TO:

WHAT IF MY DRIVER WANTS TO DO THE APPLICATION THEMSELVES?

“I have to tell you that the fastest, easiest and best way to get you this job is for me to go ahead and get all the information myself right now so that we can get a complete application packet submitted immediately. This is a competitive position and there are other drivers actively applying, so the sooner we can get it done the better”.

“If you insist on doing the application yourself then I can send you my intelliapp link and I’ll need you to fill that out as completely as you can. The more info you provide up front the faster we can get your application process moving along.

“We’ll definitely need all the info for all your CDL driving jobs including the names and phone numbers of companies, miles and areas driven, types of trucks and trailers, and trailer length for each job.

“JB Hunt requires:

  • 10 years of employment history
  • Home address history for the past 3 years
  • Current driver license number and driver license history for the past 3 years
  • History of traffic accidents, violations and/or convictions from the last 5 years (including DUI or reckless driving conviction and license suspension)
  • Any military history
  • Name on the application must match how it appears on CDL.

“Be sure to make note of the *confirmation number given when you submit that Intelliapp. I’ll need that to find your app in the system. Then let me know as soon as you get that done so I can be on the lookout for it and get everything submitted for you ASAP.”

SEND THE INTELLI-APP LINK VIA TEXT OR EMAIL:

https://intelliapp.driverapponline.com/c/classarecruiting?r=GPeffer&uri_b=ia_classarecruiting_560813248

THEN SET FOLLOW-UP EXPECTATIONS

(*Be sure to stress to the driver the importance of saving the confirmation number given. Once you receive the confirmation number from the driver, do the Driver Management submission using the “App Link Sent/Awaiting Info” status adding that number in the “Notes” section. Nothing will be done with any driver submitted Intelliapps without that number.)

SETTING FOLLOW-UP EXPECTATIONS

“In addition to your completed application, we’re also going to need a copy of the front and back of your CDL and medical card. The carrier prefers us to include them as part of your application packet in order to help speed up the process. You can send those to my email, ______.

PROVIDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS FOR DOCUMENTS

“Next, a member of the IMC Admin will review your info. Once they double check your experience and other qualifications they will send you a copy of your Intelli-app and a request for you to call in to finish the application process. Which will include connecting you to a JB Hunt scheduler by phone so they can get the info they need from you.”

“Sound good? Ok, so I’ll let you go for now but be sure to save my number so that when I call you back tomorrow with updates or to get more information then you’ll know it’s me and be sure to answer the phone. I’ll keep in touch with you throughout this process to make sure everything happens quickly and smoothly, as well as to answer any additional questions you may have.

“Have a great day, (driver name), and I’ll talk to you again tomorrow/next week.”
