The Bulk Transport fleet of Mack, Freightliner, International and Volvo trucks average 3 years old or less. They consist of automatics and 10 speeds (Driver must be able to operate manual equipment) with a top speed of 65 on pedal and 68 on cruise. There are no APU’s and it depends on the fleet if inverters are allowed. Pets and Riders NOT allowed.

ORIENTATION INFO
Orientation will consist of both online and onsite tasks.
The online portion generally takes 2.5-3 hours. It consists of approximately 31-32 tasks that include the following:
-Upload of personal information: CDL/Medical Card/SS card
-Review/acceptance of BTC policies
-Recurrent HM Training Videos (ALL drivers must complete this task regardless of whether or not they are onboarding for a HM position.)
After completion of the online tasks, you are scheduled to attend onsite training in Jacksonville, FL for dry bulk or Fenton, MO for liquid. The 5 day onsite component includes the following:
-1-2 days of classroom
-Standard driver road test
-Introduction to pneumatic or liquid tank equipment
-Initial training start
After completion of onsite training you will complete Road Training.
Dry Bulk applicants return to their “home terminal” to complete 5-7 days of training. For the Liquid applicants it depends on the fleet and domicile. They
will either remain in the Greater St. Louis area to complete 1-2 weeks of mandatory road training, regardless of any experience with liquid, or they will return to their “home terminal” to complete the mandatory training.
For LIQUID DRIVERS:
If 6 months previous, recent T/T liquid tanker experience can be verified the driver must complete 1 week of road training. For drivers with a minimum of 24+ months previous verified T/T experience (dry van, flatbed, reefer), so those with no liquid tanker experience must complete 2 weeks of road training.
Lodging for orientation is provided at the Drury Inn for the Fenton, MO location and Microtel for the Jacksonville, FL location. Both single occupancy rooms. Breakfast and lunch will be provided as well as plane or car rental for travel.
