COMPARABLE EQUIPMENT
These were additions that need to be added to the main Hiring Guidelines
–The enhanced road test should determine whether the tanker/flatbed/lowboy/ pups-doubles /Live Floor (45’+), driver candidate qualifies for employment not for training. Passing the road test is required. If the candidate requests training, a standard road test is acceptable.
–A tanker can be 43’, all other equipment will need to 45’ or longer. All articulated.
–Local or intrastate tanker/flatbed drivers have the same option of testing, however they will be required to remain local or intrastate until interstate experience is obtained.
–Mobile home, car haulers should not be considered comparable experience.
–Minimum requirement is 1 year of experience in the past 3 years. (can be combined trailer experience)
–Day Cab Experience only with Van/Reefer –If driver has been running in the same states as the position he is applying for. He can run solo, and complete a short trip or two to acclimate to the extended tractor/Sleeper.
–Log Hauler with good PSP and MVR/MVR’s can be looked at for TRAINING Program…Not Eligible to just do the Enhanced Road test
Low Boy can be considered with Enhanced Road test-And File Approval from Safety
**Note- with the low boy and log hauler- send them through BUT it really will be a case by case basis approval …we will have to look at the whole driver/driver file total experience, MVR, PSP, verifications before making a decision.
**Rehires under 6 mo do not need to complete online orientation or road tet- 5/16/22 per Safety
**All DOT accident reports on PSP / copy of report is needed
**MVR Accidents– we may not need a copy of report/depends on how old it is/and if it counts towards a DQ.
**If a driver has a current medical card that is valid for more than 90 days/ he/she does not need to take a new physical-if drive takes new physical for Epes/safety needs to approve
