QUALIFICATIONS
MVR POINT SYSTEM
An applicant with more than 5 points total, within the last 3 years, is not eligible for hire. The conviction date, not the violation date, is used when determining the points within the 3 year period. If no conviction date is available, contact your hiring supervisor.
Please remember this is a guide to be utilized to determine an applicant’s, or an employee’s, eligibility for employment; it is not exhaustive. If you feel there should be additional considerations reviewed, either positive or negative, please raise those issues with your direct hiring supervisor or Safety Director for a final decision to be rendered.

EXPERIENCED 3 months current verifiable OTR experience in a TT in the past year AND completed an accredited school (must have proof) or a reputable carrier training program within the past 2 years OR 1 year verifiable OTR experience in a TT in the past 3 years OR 6 months verifiable local experience or a combination of OTR/regional/local in the past year AND at any time completed an accredited school (must have proof) or a carrier approved training program * Must have graduated an accredited school, attended a company approved carrier training program or as of Feb 7,2022 received an EDLT certificate of training in accordance with 49 CFR 380.503 and the facility be on the Training Provider Registry (TPR) * Experience MUST have been in a Class A tractor, towing a 45′ trailer(s) or longer. * Training time will not count towards experience. * Jobs must have also required a Class A CDL * Must currently live in hiring area. * If a drivers address / state does not match their license they will have to change that before onboarding. MENTORS To qualify as a mentor, they are requiring 6 months of OTR experience within the last year (with CDL school graduation in the past) and 14 days of clean logs at PAM. So, if you send over someone that has 6 months experience, they would be eligible to apply to be a mentor after two weeks on with them. CITY DRIVER EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A city driver is defined as a driver who operates within a 100 air mile radius of his normal work reporting location. This type of driver is exempt from logs/EOBRs and uses a time card to record his hours. CITY DRIVER EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS (must meet one of the following): 1 year of verifiable local driving in the past 3 years. 1 year of verifiable driving (Combination of OTR/Regional/Local) in the past three (3) years. 3 months experience (Combination of OTR/Regional/Local) in the past year and at any time completed an accredited school or carrier approved training program. NO CREDIT FOR LOCAL EXPERIENCE IF: Construction (i.e. Dump Truck/backhoe) Mobile Homes Oil Field – Unless it needs the OTR criteria Hot Shot Yard Driver MILITARY LICENSE EXPIRED Will not be a disqualifier for active military stationed outside the U.S. boundaries at the time of expiration if: The applicant renews their license when returning to duty station within the boundaries of the U.S. and/or discharge from ACTIVE duty. The DD214 shows duty station outside the U.S. for the expiration period in question MILITARY EXPERIENCE Must provide a copy of DD214 or service within the last 3 years (from date of application) Active military reservist date of service must be verified same as normal employment Non active reservist must provide an NGB Form 22 showing dates of service if service was within the last 3 years from date of application If DD214 not available, provide a copy of the separation document with separation status. |

PAM will have 3 options for travel listed below. It will go in preferred order. 1 – Reimbursement: If a driver takes their own vehicle or rents their own car, they will be eligible for a reimbursement based upon the mileage they live away from the terminal. They will need to be made aware that travel to a truck after onboarding is possible and reimbursement is paid upon first dispatch. 0-50 miles- $100 51-200 miles – $300 201-400 miles-$500 401-Beyond miles- $800 *Reimbursement will be in addition to the $200 onboarding pay. 2 – Flight: PAM will book a flight for a driver that is not able to afford their own travel up front. Any flight over $500 will have to be approved by the recruiting manager to ensure cost effectiveness. 3 – Bus: PAM will book a bus if the preceding two options are not attainable. This is the least desired option as it has the most issues with delays and cancellations. *North Little Rock must be reimbursement or flight option only. |

ORIENTATION INFO (PAMORT)
Orientation will be 2-3 days in one of the following locations:
– Irving, TX
– North Little Rock, AR
– Tonitown, AR
– North Jackson, OH
It will start any day Monday-Thursday and will be paid out at $200 as long as you’re hired. Lodging and the lunchtime meal will be provided. Travel by bus is covered or the cost of fuel for a rental. Flights require approval but are rare because they don’t get refunded if the flight is missed.
