Application Process

*TRANSFINITY REQUIRES THE DRIVER TO FILL OUT THE CARRIER APPLICATION THEMSELVES. COPY AND SEND THE FOLLOWING LINK TO THE DRIVER. BE SURE TO INFORM THE DRIVER TO LET YOU KNOW AS SOON AS THEY GET THE APPLICATION SUBMITTED WITH SIGNED RELEASES SO YOU CAN ENTER THAT DRIVER INTO OUR DRIVER MANAGEMENT. NOTHING HAPPENS WITH THAT APPLICATION UNTIL THE DRIVER SUBMITS THE APP AND YOU SUBMIT THE DM. (And FYI, the driver MUST be the one to fill out the application. You can’t legally do it for them because it requires their signature at the end.)

STEP 1 – Send the following link to the driver explaining what they need to do (Complete the application fully, sign the release forms at end of app, let you know as soon as they’ve accomplished that). After sending the link move on to the FOLLOW-UP EXPECTATIONS and then Step 2 of the app process. (Step 2, the Driver Management submission, should not be done until you’ve received confirmation from the driver on completion of the application)

Transfinity Logistics Application requires:

  • 10 years of employment history (full 10 year history whether it’s work, school or unemployment)
  • Need proof of any self employment upfront I.E. Lyft, Uber, Self Employed 
  • Home address history for the past 3 years
  • Current drivers license number and drivers license history for the past 3 years
  • History of traffic accidents, violations and/or convictions from the last 3 years (including DUI or reckless driving conviction and license suspension)
  • Any military history.
  • Emergency contact info (name, address, phone#, relationship)

MAKE SURE TO:

  • Inform the driver that you or a member of the Admin Team may reach out to them to gather additional information as needed, so it’s important that they save our number and be sure to answer their phone when we call.
  • Verify that the name on the application matches how it appears on the CDL.
WHAT IF MY DRIVER WANTS TO DO THE APPLICATION THEMSELVES?

“I have to tell you that the fastest, easiest and best way to get you this job is for me to go ahead and get all the information myself right now so that we can get a complete application packet submitted immediately. This is a competitive position and there are other drivers actively applying, so the sooner we can get it done the better”.

“If you insist on doing the application yourself then I can send you my intelliapp link and I’ll need you to fill that out as completely as you can. The more info you provide up front the faster we can get your application process moving along. 

“We’ll definitely need all the info for all your CDL driving jobs including the names and phone numbers of companies, miles and areas driven, types of trucks and trailers, and trailer length for each job.

“Additionally, Transco requires:

  • 10 years of employment history

  • Any military history

SETTING FOLLOW-UP EXPECTATIONS

“In addition to your completed application, we’re also going to need a copy of the front and back of your CDL and medical card. The carrier prefers us to include them as part of your application packet in order to help speed up the process. You can send those to my email, ______.

PROVIDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS FOR DOCUMENTS

“”I’ll be sending you the link to fill out the application. Be sure to get that done ASAP. Nothing more happens until you complete the application, sign the releases at the end and let me know got it completed and submitted. Once I know you’ve done that, I alert the carrier to pull your app and begin processing. A rep with Transfinity will reach out to you within 24-48 hours after receiving the completed application to get any additional info from you and finish the app/hiring process. Once approved, you’ll be contacted to schedule the drug test and if that goes well orientation will follow.”

“Sound good? Ok, so I’ll let you go for now but be sure to save my number so that when I call you back tomorrow with updates or to get more information then you’ll know it’s me and be sure to answer the phone. I’ll keep in touch with you throughout this process to make sure everything happens quickly and smoothly, as well as to answer any additional questions you may have. 

“Have a great day, (driver name), and I’ll talk to you again tomorrow/next week.”

Step 2 – Enter your driver into DRIVER MANAGEMENT, and add the following information in the “Notes” section:

  • App Confirmation Number
  • What run the Driver is applying for?
  • Copy of the Driver’s CDL (back & front)

Follow Up –

Driver will be contacted within 24 hours.

My Driver Is Approved… Now What???

Drivers can do their physical and drug testing before or at orientation. They will set this up with the Driver.
