JOB DETAILS
This is an OTR route delivering General Commodities throughout all 48 states. It’ll be 65% D&H, 99% no touch freight. You must be willing and able to pull both dry van and reefer. The main customers being General Mills, Proctor and Gamble, ADM and Excell/JBS.
You’ll be home every weekend running an average of 1,300-1,600 miles per week with the top performers getting over 2,000.
Compensation will be based on mileage or percentage. Your mileage rate will depend on verifiable experience and range from $0.52-$0.56 CPM for every mile up to 2,000. You’ll get $1.00 per mile for every mile over 2,000. The percentage pay will depend on whether or not you opt out of the company furnished medical insurance. It’ll be 28% of Revenue with the ins. and 30% without. It’ll be your choice of which pay program you wish to use. Either way, your average weekly pay should be $1,300-$1,600.
There is also a $1,000 Annual Longevity and Safety Bonus that you’ll be eligible to receive. As well as a $2,000 sign on bonus that is paid out at $750 on week 1, $750 on week 2 and $500 at 6 months.

You’ll be running Mack Pinnacle or Anthem trucks, no more than 5 years old with 12 speed automatic transmissions. Top speed of 65 on cruise and pedal. There are NO cameras.
Older trucks have APU’s but they are no longer buying them equipped. The new trucks come equipped with a Webasco heater only and they are allowed to idle to stay cool. No opti idle solution.
Trucks are permanently assigned and can be taken home for time off. Truck and trailer MUST stay together and no parking at truck stops.
Riders are allowed after 90 days. No monthly charge but must be immediate family and at least 10 years old. NO pets allowed.

Orientation will be 2.5 days long, Monday-Wednesday and pay will be $300. It’ll be held in Quincy, IL and lodging will be provided at the Microtel Inn & Suites (Single occupancy rooms).
Breakfast and lunch will also be provided as well as travel by bus. If you decide to travel any other way, Sharkey will reimburse up to the cost of a bus ticket with valid receipts.
